Dimensions de référence du diamètre extérieur, de l’épaisseur de paroi et du diamètre intérieur des tuyaux en acier.

Aperçu

Les dimensions des tuyaux en acier sont normalisées par les normes ASME/ANSI B36.10 (acier soudé et sans soudure) et ASME/ANSI B36.19 (acier inoxydable). Indépendamment du numéro de calibre, tous les tuyaux d'un diamètre nominal donné partagent le même diamètre extérieur. À mesure que le numéro de calibre augmente, l'épaisseur de la paroi augmente et le diamètre intérieur diminue.

Trois désignations de poids traditionnelles sont utilisées :

  • STD (Standard) — l'épaisseur de paroi de base pour une dimension donnée
  • XS (Extra Strong) — paroi plus épaisse, parfois appelée XH (Extra Heavy)
  • XXS (Double Extra Strong) — la paroi la plus épaisse, parfois appelée XXH

Remarques techniques

  • Tolérances de fabrication sur le diamètre extérieur sont petites mais non nulles ; les valeurs listées sont nominales selon ASME/ANSI B36.10/19.
  • Tuyaux en acier inoxydable (B36.19) utilisent les mêmes diamètres extérieurs que l'acier au carbone mais ont des parois plus minces pour certains calibres (par ex., 5S, 10S) qui n'existent pas dans B36.10.
  • Calibre 160 et XXS fournissent des parois significativement plus épaisses pour les services haute pression. Les parois XXS sont plus épaisses que Sch 160 pour les tailles de 1/2 in à 6 in.
  • Poids du tuyau dépend de la densité du matériau ; les tables supposent de l'acier au carbone à 490 lb/ft³. Ajustez proportionnellement pour d'autres alliages.
  • Le poids de l'eau suppose un diamètre intérieur complet et une densité de 62,4 lb/pi³.
  • Équivalences métriques : 1 po = 25,4 mm ; 1 lb/pi = 1,488 kg/m.
