Pipe Dimensions Table
The following table provides the nominal outside diameters and minimum wall thicknesses for thermoplastic pipes in metric series, as specified in ISO 161-1 and ISO 11922.
Understanding Pipe Series and SDR
The Series number in the table header indicates the relationship between the pipe's outside diameter and its wall thickness. A lower series number means a thicker wall relative to the diameter for a given nominal size.
Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR) is a critical parameter defined as: For example, *SDR 11 means the outside diameter is 11 times the minimum wall thickness. SDR is directly related to the pipe's pressure rating.
Nominal Pressure (PN) is the maximum permissible operating pressure (in bar) at 20°C for water. The relationship between PN and SDR depends on the material's long-term hydrostatic strength, often characterized by the Minimum Required Strength (MRS).
